Brand photographer in Kent with Hare and Moon Jewellery

I spent the afternoon photographing behind the scenes of Hare and Moon Jewellery, an independent jewellery brand based in Margate, Kent. Sam is the maker, designer and all-round one-woman band behind this brand and this shoot was all about capturing the thoughtful process, the peaceful energy of her studio and the soulful, symbolic jewellery she creates by hand. I focussed on bringing her unique small business story to life – from idea and concept, to the tangible pieces created with such love and care!

We shot a mix of behind-the-scenes process shots, portraits and lifestyle product images, giving a rounded view of the business and the maker behind it. It’s the kind of visual content that helps small businesses show not just what they sell – but why it matters.

The shoot took place in the Hare and Moon studio – a calm, light-filled space full of tools, textures and little personal details. It’s always such a joy to shoot somewhere that reflects the business itself so well: grounded, thoughtful and quietly full of magic!

From shaping and polishing to packing up orders, I wanted to capture moments that felt real and informative. The result is a gallery full of warm, storytelling images that can be used across Hare and Moon’s website and social media – showing the human touch behind every handmade piece.
